Inspiration is imbued with another creation in order to interpret it and create something new! Copying is recreating identically. It’s the same idea for literature, graphic arts, video games or cinema - there is often inspiration taken from another creation. We can take inspiration from a style, a movement, a mane or a coat without copy-pasting it. What is plagiarism? Plagiarism is taking someone else's work and passing them off as your own. Respect the author's rights: we do not steal images off of the Internet we do not trace photos we do not use the basis of someone else if they have not given their authorization, preferably publicly. Also, make sure that the horses won't look like giants in the middle of a forest when you decide to draw trees or other items. Just try and make the backgrounds usable for everyone, not just the Pegasus. The same goes for outer space and clouds etc. It's quite strange the have a picture with a nice pond in the background and the horse is floating in the middle of it in thin air. When you make a background, please consider that there has to be something for the horse to put his feet on. Moving forward, we'll simply remove the right to propose any creations to the Creation space forever for those who do try to do this. Painting, blurring or smudging landscape pictures. The same thing goes for photos or bits of photos. This is due to the fact that it's unfair and the aim of the Creative Space is to work things with your own hands, not make photo manipulations. It's a pity to see a coat that has been worked on then filtered with a blur filter, and it comes out all smudgy. Often the coats have a smudge around the corners or along the border of the image. Also, look a little further away on just the outline. Tip Please take the time to take a look at your coat on a white and on a black background, in order to get rid of any leftover smudges or pixels. This makes it impossible to use on a dark background. When we place the coats on a dark background in a lot of cases, there are stray light colored pixels all around the drawing. You can use shadowing, but we ask that you keep them very light so that the images will fit with most Helios Ray backgrounds. We are probably going to add them ourselves in the future to have something that has the right perspective on the backgrounds, and that has a uniform texture across the coats. I don’t this film is a total bust-it is a standard found footage flick that emphasizes dread over gore. This is the problem with this genre, there is only so much you can really do with it, so whatever creativity this one has is washed away with the audience knowing too much. For folks familiar with the genre, it smacks of a little too familiar a story. If this is someone’s first outing into found footage it might be more effective. The scares are subtle and slowly escalate-everything goes to the found footage formula. The curtains are perfectly opened with equal space-who does that? If it is freezing, why the T-shirt? In found footage we are always trying to scan the surroundings for something to happen, but here it is simply too pristine. While the details might seem like a small nit-pick, they are oddly noticeable. We keep our house organized, but right now we have a book, a notepad, two controllers and a water bottle on the coffee table. Everything has a sort of model home feel to it. Where they overlooked was the apartment-it doesn’t look lived in. They focused on the Dybbuk Box (which does look cool) and making Chris an engaging host. The worst part of the film is the failure to pay attention to all the details. If more were presented like this I might actually watch them more. I am sure this would be a negative for some, but whenever I watch youtubers, most of them can’t stop shouting or screaming and I turn it off. ![]() The best part of the film is that Chris reacts calmly. I suppose he thinks buying the box from child predators will be better than buying from a flea market collector off Ebay. The camera angels are often weird, causing him to have to turn his head to talk to us, which is something I think looks odd (but is true to form).Ĭhris ain’t a wimp, so he’s buying his off the dark web, which gets him his identify stolen and causes all sorts of troubles-kidding. His dialogue feels a little stilted-more adlibbing would have helped instead of following a script. Chris isn’t a bad host, and he seems comfortable in this sort of setting, which is good. What found footage needs is an engaging host. We follow Chris, who is curious to do his own investigation on these Dybbuk boxes and will do one on his channel(?). We’re not stupid Chris (well, not always).Ī great way to start a film is to have your intelligence insulted. Actual verifiable proof of the paranormal? Really? Really?! Good thing I just happened to stumble upon this crap and have my life changed. It isn’t, no one believes this, and it hurts the film. This is serious guys-real real serious-it’s not just another low budget horror film-nooooo.Īlso, enough with the supposed experts saying this crap is real. A better movie would have just been the story-but, noooooo we’ve got to make it seem more important with pretentious dramatic music played over the intro. The heavy-handed “this is real” garbage needs to be excised from horror films moving forward. This is a fake movie that is capitalizing on a fake trend. ![]() Plenty of films can be entertaining (and have a documentary feel) without having to shove so much crap at us about it being real. Full disclosure: I have enjoyed some of these fake documentaries before, but not because they were trying so hard to make it seem real. ![]() ![]() ![]() While the cable is braided - a nice feature and a definite plus - it seems a little flimsy overall. My only minor quibble with the design is the included cable. Not only is this a nice little feature but the overall quality over voice chat was also excellent, with good levels and minimal background noise. The mic features an easily adjustable tip and retractable arm, which mutes itself when placed in the vertical position. That snug fit and closed-back design lend another level of passive sound isolation as well, although, despite this, there was none of the sweatiness associated with this type of design - my ears stay cool for several hours. The fit is snug, but not tight, and even though these are built solidly, they don’t feel heavy at all. When worn, I find this headset exceptionally comfortable, both around the ears (thanks to those earpads) and across the top of the head. The generously-sized over-ear cups feature a volume dial on one side and plush faux leather ear pads which are exceptionally soft and have plenty of give to them. The aesthetic is decidedly understated for a gaming headset, with a stylish matte black look and the occasional accent of red - a great choice if you need all the appointments of a headset but none of the associated bling. Venom: Let There Be Carnage will now open in conventional, PLF and IMAX theaters on October 1. ![]() Oh, and for what it’s worth, it also means that Shang-Chi has one less week to be the only game in town in terms of four-quadrant tentpole thrills, but that’s the price of success.Īnyway, that’s the news. Halloween Kills is opening mostly unopposed on October 15, and No Time to Die will have a little competition a little sooner when it opens overseas in late September and in North America on October 8. That said, it means that Dune won’t be dealing with a “just came out” Venom sequel while Jackass Forever just fled to February 2022. The first film cost $90 million, so if this one didn’t break the bank than that would still be okay.Īs far as release date musical chairs, this means that I guess Dune won’t be shifting back to October 1, even with mixed-positive festival buzz/reviews and strong Oscar talk at least in the technical categories. While folks did like the first film (so I’m not worried about a Tomb Raider Trap) and the marketing for this one has been aces (my kids are psyched), there was/is a danger of the whole “folks were only curious the first time” variable.Īnd with Covid, climate change and everything else at play, we could still see a scenario where Venom 2 “only” earns about as much worldwide (say, $350-$450 million) as we all thought Venom would three years ago. I won’t pretend that Venom: Let There Be Carnage was a sure thing to match Venom’s $214 million domestic, $269 million Chinese and $854 million global totals even in a non-Covid timeline. And even with a darker, scarier villain in Carnage, that seems to be how Venom 2 is being sold. ![]() ![]() ![]() The length of a grind rail varies depending on its purpose and intended use.
